This training will provide a foundational understanding of oppression and how it informs gender, as well as a general introduction and overview of trans identities, gender diversity, terminology, policy and legislation. The goal is to increase awareness and educate people on how they can be an ally to TGI communities.

Learning Objectives:
•Develop awareness of issues faced by Transgender, Gender non-conforming, and Intersex (TGI) people.
•Examine your personal knowledge and feelings about TGI people.
•Understand the lifelong vulnerability of people who are visibly gender non-conforming.
•Learn and utilize gender-expansive language, frameworks, and exemplary practices that support trans, gender non-conforming, and intersex people.
